ABOUT ME

Meeting where you are right this moment

I graduated from Fordham University with a Master Degree in Social Work in 2005. Upon graduation, I worked at outpatient mental health clinics and attained my clinical skills. In 2009, I turned my personal passion for yoga to become a yoga teacher. Since then I incorporate my knowledge of yogic method to my treatment and facilitate "the whole person" approach. In March 2019, I finally attained certificate as Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (Please review TCTSY-F page). Through this approach, my clients begin to reconnect with their body and reclaim their body and voice.

I work with Adolescents, Adults, Couples and Families. I feel passionate working with people who have sexual trauma, complex trauma, birth trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety and self-injurious behaviors. My treatment approach is led by my extensive trainings on DBT, CBT, EMDR and PMT (see FAQ for more info) along with my knowledge with yoga, mindfulness, and TCTSY. I offer clinical supervision to professionals and trainings on various settings.

Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery. In my work, I promote

transformation by paying closer attention to our minds and bodies with compassion. I have the tools and professional experience to support you through this journey.

In my personal life, I am a mother of two young children. I enjoy spending time with them. In order to keep up with my children, I try my best to keep my mind and body healthy by practicing yoga and running (although it is not that easy!!).
